PRIME Event Partners, a prominent Canadian full-service event management firm, has been acquired by McVeigh Global Meetings and Events (MGME), an award-winning corporate meetings and events company. With locations in Toronto and Vancouver, MGME now has a worldwide footprint, delivering new growth prospects and increased service capabilities to clients across North America and around the world.

“We are thrilled to have the PRIME team join our family,” adds MGME CEO Jeff Guberman. “The acquisition of PRIME builds on our global business strategy with an incredible team that brings depth of experience in life sciences, financial services, IT/telecom and automotive sectors along with a history of award-winning incentive and conference programs.”

Throughout its 30-year history, PRIME Event Partners has won numerous industry honours, including the renowned SITE Crystal and ICE awards. PRIME Event Partners will continue to operate as a completely owned subsidiary of McVeigh Global Meetings and Events. Starting with a new Toronto office, MGME intends to extend PRIME’s current operations.

“Our alignment with MGME enables us to bring more resources, creativity and innovation for the continued benefit of our clients,” says Jonathan Buchwald, President and CEO of PRIME. “Our team members are eager to be joining forces with MGME and establishing more impactful ways of serving our combined customer base.”

Alissa Hurley, an industry veteran, has recently been hired to MGME’s management team. As Vice President, Canada, Alissa will be in charge of the entire operation of the Canadian business. Jonathan Buchwald will remain with the organization as a consultant.
